Partnerships and Collaboration

Early Learning Health Connections is all about partnerships: national, state, and local; public and private. We believe that by helping medical practices be more connected with and integrated into early learning efforts in communities, we will improve outcomes for children and families.

Statewide Partners

Early Learning Health Connections is a statewide effort.  Therefore we actively partner with other statewide and regional efforts in order to further our goals.  By working closely with others who are building the systems and services which support young children and families across the state, we will be more effective and reach more families. You will find links to some of our partners to the left in “Early Learning Links.“  The number of potential statewide partners is limited only by our creativity and ability to connect and brainstorm together.

Early Childhood Systems Development

Early childhood systems help communities embrace the “whole child”; increase collaboration among early childhood stakeholders; and build upon complementary and existing efforts.  Systems bridge together health; social, emotional and mental health; early care and education/child care; and parenting information and support. Kids Matter is part of a systems-building effort which began in 2003. The idea is to streamline and integrate efforts so there is an effective system which works well for children and families. The purpose of that system is to help children in Washington be healthy and read for success in school and life. See the Kids Matter tab (above) for more information.
